Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)

The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program provides case management services and cash assistance to low-income families with minor dependent children while they strive to become self-sufficient. The goal of the program is to reduce the number of families living in poverty through employment and community resources. The program also provides help with basic living expenses such as, housing, utilities or household supplies. For more information, please call the DHS office in your area.
